Life and its intracies, fallacies and challenges
So the temple is finally a “temple” (before all these functions, it was just a building) and all the ceremonies and functions to deem it thus are finally done with and over. I attended everyday in the evening and took half a day off today to attend the final function.
Well, I cannot honestly say I took part though because of my disinterest. But I enjoyed meeting up with friends who I had not met in over a long while. Almost 5-6 months or maybe more :( That was good fun. Plus quite a few relatives had come down especially for this so met them as well.
Now it’s done with and hopefully I can get back to my regular routine, regular schedule and get some serious studying done..
Ps. My mom has gotten me a tiny silver ring and a chain-bracelet which is supposedly “holy”. Seems I’m building up a collection of jewellery what with 3 rings and the bracelet on my left arm ;) :D
The Skeletor and Hordak community on Livejornal.com has to be one of the funniest nonprofessional (not to be confused with unprofessional)comics I’ve read in quite sometime. Since Skeletor is in the public domain, anyone can create a strip on him and post it there. From the past couple of weeks I’ve been reading it, there have been 3 main story-lines proceeding in parallel. And all of them are good.
The strips consist of Skeletor and his interactions with his mentor Hordak. Since it’s got multiple authors, the stories are different in humor, quality etc. But they are all fun! :D
Dani California is the latest single from Red Hot Chilli Peppers and is also a part of their latest album, Stadium Arcadium. The music is typical RHCP but it’s the video which is very different. In this, they have, in their way, paid homage (parodied ?) to the best rock bands from the sixties.
I watched the video yesterday and was left laughing at their idea and antics. I mean, some of the bands they have represented (which I could identify) were so real looking I was amazed. Watch the video and try to identify the bands on your own before reading further. It contains the bands I identified, and am quite certain about.

I was supposed to go for a friends wedding today. Unfortunately I had not booked my travel tickets earlier and when I tried over the weekend and today, there were just no reservations available :(
And I so wanted to go for the wedding. Well, I wish best of luck to her and hope her life turns out great :)
I always believe being frank to be advantageous. And with friends, I had always tried to be frank, even if it meant that sometimes I said something harsh, hoping that by saying the truth, I would prevent possible occurance of misunderstanding later.
But due to various reason, people going far(not in terms of physical distance), change in perceptions about people and a general disinterest, I had of late stopped speaking out to friends, not saying what I felt like saying or should say but instead kept it bottled up within myself. Heck have it bottled up even now!
But today, a conversation which started with some irrelevant topic got to the point where I spoke frankly to a friend, spoke about something that had recently bothered me and even pissed me off to an extent. And when I said it out, the reason due to which I had been pissed turned out to be so inconsequential because it actually stemmed from a reaction to something I had myself said, something which I now find extremely distasteful and idiotic. Nevertheless, once I realised the root cause, I realised it was my fault and that immediately turned my irritation to guilt and shame!
But it did do one thing. It cleared up the situation, erased any possible resentment and simmering billigerence and thus prevented any possible ugliness in the future.
And I am extremely glad :)

I missed having the most major accident to date. I was trying to move to the right side of the road and an ambassador came across the road to take the left turn. I was travelling at a decent speed so I honked my horn and even flashed my lights! He apparantely paid no heed and continued.
So I had to brake at the last moment. Unfortunately, my front brakes are not working in their top condition so they are a little ineffective. And having gotten my bike serviced just yesterday, the back brakes are a little too sensitive. So I pressed on them a little harder which caused the bike to go into a wild slide. I had to immediately correct the bike and release the brakes. This though got me out of the slide, I nearly decked the amby had I not been able to swerve at the last moment and thankfully the car had also slowed down.
So I escaped a serious accident today :D. Am posting this as a protected entry cos a friend of mine had asked me, just before I left the office, to drive safely. And with this, I’m sure to get scolded ;)
