The Next step
I am thinking of starting a photoblog too. I think I will use a photoblog suite called PixelPost, considered one of the best photoblog tools. Only trouble is, it requires a DB and I am not sure I want to risk using the WP(WordPress), that is my current blog’s DB just in the case that PixelPost decides it should be cleaned of all data and started afresh.
I tried making a backup of the DB but could not get /phpmyadmin/ to get to work. I even sent a support request to my hosting providers Symonds.Net and he tried to be helpful but only told me what I already know. So I sent him a mail asking him to do the backup and send it to me via e-mail. He is yet to respond but I guess that is due to it probably being night in the US where I assume they are located. I hope he replies by tomorrow so I can start photo-blogging :-D
Stubborness
I can be stubborn as hell. All my friends know it and I proved it again :-D
My friend who comes back with me from office was at it again trying to get on my nerves. He was constantly instructing me how to ride my bike and what to do and what not to do.
This got me irritated and I did what I usually do when someone comments negatively on my riding. I slowed down :twisted: For about 4-5 kms to my place, I drove at a painful speed of 20kph. And trust me when I say this, compared to my normal speed, that _is_ slow. My avg speed, even in the city is atleast about 50-55 kph.
He pretended not to let it affect him initially, but it finally got to him. He said, pls go faster, and I reply, accept your fault and give me your word that you will not comment on my riding again . He said no way. So slowly we crawled back home.
This was not the first time that I had done so. Even earlier, with my mom and again once with my dad. One thing that I cannot stand is back seat driving. And you do it and you pay :twisted:
Mistaken Identity
This is the second time and it is getting weird. Today, I was chatting with an online friend and she realized that I am not who she thought I am. It was due to my Y! id, which partly was similar to a chat friend she has in IRC.
And this is not the first time that it is happening with me. Earlier too, another friend of mine mistook me over Y! for someone else and chatted with me for almost a month thinking I was someone else. Hmm.. I think it is me and Y! which are incompatible :neutral: I should give it up I guess…
Anyway atleast this time the mistaken identity lasted only a couple of days before it was realized :grin:
Testing a plugin
I am testing this new plugin which provides a pulse and a fade background color effect. I am just merely testing it.

WordPress
An update to WordPresss.. Wheeee!
I love it when a new update is announced..It means more bug-fixes and more features. And the new version of WP does not disappoint. It has quite a few bug-fixes and changes. The most immediate noticeable change for me was the colorisation of the activated plugins as I activated them one by one after the upgrade. Makes a lot more easier to identify which are in use and which are lying around unused :-D
Apart from that, I managed to install a lot of cool plugins and update my blog’s look and feel quite a bit. One of the most noticeable changes is the weather updates of my city and an option to allow the viewer to choose a theme to suit to their liking.
Other subtle changes is a date on-hover time modified display (Hover over the date of the entry posting to see) and a insta-comment preview.
I have quite a bit of other plugins lined up too. Will get them online in the next two days or so ;-)
Microsux
All of us have just about had it with Microsoft. Their products suck, period. For our project, we have been trying to install SQL Server, Sharepoint, all M$ s/w. But there is some problem with our boxes cos they just do not want to communicate with each other. It keeps giving some or the other problem due to which we were not able to access each other across.
The guy in the company who was helping us was pretty frustrated too cos he himself with all his experience could not figure out what the problem was. It wasn’t his fault either. It was just that we were/are using M$ products :-(
However, he finally managed to make them work and communicate across and we got the sharepoint server installation done too. Now we need to get to the meat of the project and get done with it. The deadline approaches at a fast pace :-(
Google – Good or evil
I came across this article today which overviews Google Inc. practices and their motives. It is just some comments and views by someone whom I don’t know but agree quite a bit.

Prankster – Who me?
This is one of the most awesome pranks that I have ever played on anyone.
I recently changed my Y! id to a new one but still retain the existing one. Now the prank idea came when I was chatting with a friend of mine on Y! and I rememberd a utility which allows me to start two instances of Y! which is normally not possible.
Now I started chatting with her through both the ids pretending in the old Id to be me and denying that it was me who was using that Id. I pretended that it must have been hijacked since I was not using it anymore. What made it even more plausible was that she did not know about the hack which allows multiple instances of Y!. I said check for yourself and see if you can indeed start the multiple instances.
