All about me, me and more me :-D

A walk in the clouds

So it’s been sometime since the Kalavarahalli Betta trek and the pics have been up on flickr (yay mo-photo-blogging :D )

The trek was a lot of fun with the climb not too difficult but not very easy. The difficult part was close to dawn as the dew condensation increased. Unfortunately for me, my shoes, while awesome on rough surface and mud, gets *very* slippery on wet stone. So at one point, I was literally struggling to stay on the rocks and not slip (had a close call too, almost slipped, got a handhold at the last moment)

Anyway, the top was awesome. *Very* strong winds, lot of fog/mist and clouds. It was an awesome experience to be there on top.

The pics are all taken off my awesome phone and uploaded directly to flickr. Whee..

One of the worst things…

Is to do something which is unintentional and when it hurts someone!

Where?

Is the sun?
Is the light?
Is the clarity?

Kalavarahalli Betta – Skandagiri

Right now i’m on top of a hill known as Kalavarahalli Betta or Skandagiri. It’s awesome here. Fog/mist, dew a beautiful sunrise. The weather is fabulous and the climb down should be trecherous ;)

And another turn back at feedback

Its so fagging irritating when some people ask you for feedback and then when you do decide to give them some frank feedback (which obviously they do not like to hear) they get all irritated and worked up and downright delirious at times.

My own team had a feedback session (Anonymous) for one of our leads with a facilitator to act as a bridge. I was not really interested in this initially because I assumed that it was for “critical” feedback but being in the team, I had to participate.

While there wasn’t much spoken initially, people did voice their issues (which imo was nothing major and indicated that most were happy with the lead) which was noted and put into context by the facilitator. But I did get a chance to speak since the feedback session also included positive feedback (which was that I had)

Anyway, the feedback was given to the lead in front of the team and very admirably, the lead actually agreed to most of them, and stated his intention to try to correct them and change them.  The way he took it and accepted it, my respect and admiration for him only increased and made me glad that I was in this team that any other.

WTH

Something is wrong with the blog.. The CSS and various javascript files are not being served by the server even though they appear to be present in the themes folder. And since there is no SSH or ftp access to my server, I cannot even check until I return home..

Gaah

Holy “multilingual” Batman

This guy (Ziad Fazah) can speak, read and understand 58 languages. Fifty freaking Eight languages. I can speak 2 and break up on the third!

FUBAR

WHY do things have to go FUBAR at the last possible moment?

And STFU Murphy!
