There goes the neighbourhood
A new hypermarket (what is a hypermarket anyway?) or a shopping complex has been constructed right NEXT to my apartments. This is on a stretch of the road which is exceptionally prone to frequent and long traffic jams, on one of the busiest roads in Bangalore.
I am so dreading the opening of the place and even more of it being even moderately successful. The traffic to this part of the road will increase manifold and we get screwed in the process :(

Aw, sheesh. That must suck. Where are zoning laws when we need them?
Hypermarket? Sounds Web 2.0.
That’s the problem. The entire stretch is too commercial. Upto 15 IT companies are set up in this stretch of about 1 km or so..
lol @ the web 2.0 reference.. :D
WHich road and which chain is this?
This is on Bannerghatta Road and the place is called “Spar Hypermarket”
Very close to Sagar Automobiles
Thanks! Is this between Adarsh Vihar apartments and the petrol pump at the Tilak Nagar main road xn?
Exactly. It’s adjacent to Adarsh Vihar Apartments..
Trust the wisdom of our town-planning authorities (or their greed) to permit abominations such as these
Spelling alert! Haar de haar de haar!
Man the hatches, hold down the covers. What is the alert for?
Manifold
Um, again, where is the error?
Hmm apears I was wrong, hangs head in shame and hides under rock.
oh! :( 1st of all dread travelling in ur road !
sad, innit… our road is never at peace.. first the bad road, then the flyover, then the traffic snarls, and just when things seemed to be quieting down, this. now there’ll be parking woes, hygiene concerns and a hazaar other things besides.

Yeah I sort of agree. I was very impressed by Spar when I visited it for the first time today. I kind of liked the place and was planning to write about it!
Where do you stay by the way?
